A photographer has breathtaking photos of the northern lights in Iceland snapped.
The Aurora Borealis display is especially visible light in the polar regions, where it shines on the Northern horizon as a greenish night observed in the rule or red.
Kristjan Unnar Kristjánsson went to extraordinary lengths in the past nine years to capture the amazing light show in all its glory.
He says to the 31-year-old often remote, light pollution positions currently drives the best view to get.

"Really hard cover it, how bright lenses, highly light-sensitive cameras, warm clothes and require a lot of luck," he said.
The bright displays are observed in the night, from light sources.
But he says it's worth the effort is, as no other compares natural phenomenon the northern light first-hand experience.
"I recommend that everyone should try to visit Iceland Norway, Greenland, Alaska, any other northern - latitude land for this purpose alone," he said.
The Aurora Borealis is named after the Roman goddess of the dawn Aurora and the Greek word for the Northwind, Boreas.
